BAONIER / QUESTIONS

What should be the arrangement of the placement position and surrounding movement paths of fruit refrigerators?

The layout of a fruit refrigeration unit needs to consider both the customer side and the working side, rather than simply placing the equipment in a floor plan to consider it complete. When fruit stores want to organize daily fruits and gift box products more clearly, actions such as viewing, picking up, replenishing, and cleaning often occur around the equipment. The focus of the planning is to ensure these actions can be seamlessly connected in the same space, rather than simply aiming for neat equipment arrangement.

Organize zones using colors, packaging, and picking methods so customers can see key items without having to turn over the entire row of products. Consider display height, basket edges, and the line of sight from the cabinet together to avoid upper signs covering the content in the back row. During measurement, record the wall columns, door openings, fixing facilities, and channels planned to be retained. Do not directly consider the blank areas in the photos as available locations. The range after opening the cabinet doors, drawers, or other movable components also needs to be verified. The usage area of the equipment and the positions required for professional maintenance should be clearly defined separately.

Suppose a type of fruit changes from bagged to boxed packaging, resulting in changes to the packaging width and stacking method. Recheck the picking actions and displayed quantities to avoid the situation where customers have to move surrounding products every time they pick a box after using old positions. When determining layout issues, first observe which action or time period causes the conflict, then discuss whether to adjust the equipment or the operation position. If only the orientation of the cabinet is changed without organizing the surrounding materials, the original waiting or detour problems may still occur.

It is recommended to conduct a simple simulation using actual containers, trolleys, or empty packaging. By demonstrating replenishment, picking up, and organization around bulk fruits, boxed fresh fruits, gift boxes, and containers of different heights, record whether employees need to turn around repeatedly, whether they can’t see labels clearly, and whether they intersect with the customer waiting area. The irregular arrangement of heights helps create a visual hierarchy, but every retrieval process must be convenient; If picking one box requires moving two boxes, a beautiful display will increase the actual workload. Write down these observations next to the floor plan, which makes it easier to achieve consistent understanding than simply describing ‘a bit more spacious’.

Before the plan is finalized, have the equipment supplier review the installation conditions based on on-site photos and dimensions. The space, supporting facilities, and surrounding environment required for the equipment should be specified according to the selected model, not inferred from photos from other stores. Check the fit between the shelves or basket supports, edge guards, and packaging, and identify items provided by the equipment and those prepared by the store. The decoration methods shown in displays should not directly replace the specific storage requirements for products. If renovations or changes occur to the product layout, the original drawings must be updated, and affected areas should be re-verified to ensure the actual implementation matches the original plan.
